Masonic Service Awards Presented

On Thursday August 9^th 2007 at an open ceremony prior to a stated communication four Brethren were presented Masonic Service Awards. Pictured from left to right are: Frank Bridges PM 60 year award, Merlin Simpson dual member of Nebraska and North Carolina 50 year award, WB Tommy Payne PM 50 year award, Clarence Beehler 50 year award and WB Rick Harbin Master.

WB Oscar Harbin PDDGM of the 38^th Masonic District served as the presenting officer. The presentation was open to family and friends of which there were several attending. WB Oscar did an outstanding job.

WB Tommy Payne was Master of Dunn’s Rock Lodge in 1967. He became a Master Mason on July 18^th 1957. It was a delight to have WB Tommy and his wife with us for this auspicious event.

Brother Merlin Simpson was raised a Master Mason on May 28^th 1957 in Mosaic Lodge #55 of Norfolk Nebraska and affiliated with Dunn’s Rock Lodge #267 on April 28^th 1988 as a dual member with Garfield Lodge #95 in O’Neil, Nebraska. Several of his family members were in attendance.

Brother Clarence Beehler was raised a Master Mason on April 2^nd 1957 in Dunn’s Rock Lodge #267. He too was accompanied by family and friends.

Pictured here is a very special moment as Worshipful Brother Frank Bridges, Dunn’s Rock Lodge’s senior Past Master receives his 60 Year Diamond Jubilee Award Pin from WB Oscar Harbin. WB Frank was Master of Dunn’s Rock Lodge #267 in 1956, one year prior to the above Brethren becoming Masons. WB Frank is also Dunn’s Rock Lodge’s oldest member. It was truly an honor to have him, his lovely wife, daughter and son in the Lodge for this very special night.
